How IslamicKnot works

A calm, dignified path from a profile to a family conversation — with privacy and seriousness built in at every step. No chat, no swiping: you browse, request contact, and speak to the wali.

For seekers ·

Browse, request contact, speak to the wali

1

Browse anonymously

No account needed to look. Search verified profiles by what genuinely matters — faith, family situation, background, and considered details. Faces stay private.

2

Choose with intention

When a profile feels right, you request the family’s contact. This is a paid step on purpose: it filters for people serious about marriage, and protects families from idle attention.

3

Speak to her guardian

You receive the wali’s phone number and continue off-platform — the way families have always done it. You never message the woman directly.

4

Proceed as a family

From there, it’s between your families. We simply made the respectful introduction possible.

For sisters ·

The same four steps, from your side

If you are the sister, here is what each step means for you. Your account is free, nobody can message you, and the only number a seeker ever receives is your wali’s. The full picture — photos, hijab and niqab, reverts, divorce and remarriage — is on the page for sisters.

1

You create your profile — or your wali does

Free. Your first name, age, city and an honest description. Your public photo is blurred by default, and hijab or niqab photos are welcome. A person reviews the profile before it is listed.

2

Men browse anonymously — and cannot message you

There is no chat, no likes and no matching. Seekers see the blurred photo and your description — never your surname, number or address.

3

A paid, reviewed enquiry reaches your wali

When a seeker pays to request contact, he receives your wali’s number, not yours. Your wali speaks to him first and asks what you cannot comfortably ask.

4

You and your family decide

Families meet off the platform. You are in the room and the decision is yours; your wali can pause or remove the profile at any time.

No chat, ever ·

There is no on-platform messaging. Contact is always through the guardian.

Numbers stay private ·

A guardian’s number is shown only to someone who has paid to reach that family. The sister’s number is never on the platform at all.

Photos shared privately ·

Public photos are softly blurred; hijab and niqab photos are welcome; clear photos are shared by the family after contact.

Frequently asked questions

Is there any chat or messaging on IslamicKnot?

No. There is no chat, no likes and no matching. The only contact a seeker can unlock is the wali’s phone number, and the conversation continues off the platform between families.

What does a seeker pay, and what does he receive?

Browsing is free. A seeker pays a few dollars per family contact (cheaper in packs of three or five) and receives that family’s wali number — nothing else. The number stays current if the family updates it later.

What does the sister see and control?

Her profile is free. She or her wali writes it, keeps the public photo blurred, and can pause or remove it at any time. She never receives messages; every enquiry goes to her wali, and she decides with her family who to meet.

Who reviews the profiles?

A person on our team reviews every profile before it is listed and re-checks edited descriptions. Guardians can verify their identity with an official document to earn a Verified badge, and seekers can filter for verified families only.
