Serious about marriage? Speak to her wali, not her DMs
Last updated
IslamicKnot is a wali-first Muslim marriage site where you approach a woman through her family. You browse reviewed profiles free, without an account. When one fits, you make five commitments and pay once, from US$5, to receive her wali’s number: no subscription, and nothing renews.
Who are the women on IslamicKnot?
They are single Muslim women looking for marriage, not chat, and their families are involved from the start. A sister creates her profile and adds her wali’s number, or her wali creates and manages it for her. Revert sisters with no Muslim wali are listed too, and you reach them through a supervised introduction.
A person on our team reviews every profile before it appears. Her own number is never shown, and public photos are softly blurred. Treat every profile as you’d want your own sister’s treated.
How does IslamicKnot work for brothers?
You go from a profile to her family in five steps, and you never message her privately.
- Browse free. No account is needed. You see her first name, age, city and what she or her family chose to share.
- Read her profile and requirements. Before you pay, you can also see whether her family has marked her “in talks”.
- Make five commitments, declared before you request a family’s contact (see below).
- Pay once for that family: US$5 for one contact, US$12 for three or US$15 for five.
- Call her wali. You receive the current number of her wali, her father or brother, and the families continue off the platform.
The five commitments you make
Before you can request a family’s contact, you declare five things, the first four sworn with “I bear Allah as my witness”:
- You keep the five daily prayers.
- You will never ask her or her family for financial help, or expect them to pay for furnishing the home.
- You are able to start a family, with a halal income and no illness that would prevent marriage.
- You don’t abuse any substance, and you are open about it if you smoke.
- You have read her profile and requirements and believe you are a genuine match.
A “no” to any of the first four closes your account; a “no” to the fifth sends you back to read her profile again. These are promises made in Allah’s name, not background checks. IslamicKnot doesn’t otherwise vet men, so her wali will test each one in person.
What does it cost?
Browsing is free and needs no account, so you can see who is listed before you pay anything. You pay only when you ask to contact a family.
| What | Price | Per family |
|---|---|---|
| One family contact | US$5 | US$5 |
| 3 contacts | US$12 | US$4 |
| 5 contacts | US$15 | US$3 |
| Subscription | None | Nothing renews |
Prices are in US dollars for everyone, paid once through Stripe. You never pay twice for the same profile: a family you’ve contacted stays in My contacts, and its number is always the current one. See full pricing.
What happens after you pay?
What you receive depends on how her profile is listed.
- Listed with her wali: his phone number. You call her father or brother, and the families take it from there, off the platform. She is never messaged directly.
- A revert sister with no Muslim wali: a supervised introduction, a conversation inside IslamicKnot with a member of our team present in every message. Contact details are filtered out, and her number is never shared.
IslamicKnot is her chaperone, not her wali; once things are serious, expect her to involve her imam, or whoever acts as her wali, before any meeting. More in how to marry a revert Muslim woman.
Why do families take these enquiries seriously?
Families take an IslamicKnot enquiry seriously because it comes from a man who has read her profile, made five commitments in Allah’s name and paid to reach that one family.
- You chose them. No likes or mass messages: each contact is a separate payment for one family.
- You’ve answered the first questions. The commitments cover what a wali usually asks first: prayer, money, health, substances, and whether you’ve read what she is looking for.
- Profiles are reviewed. A person reviews every profile before it appears, a sister’s profile can’t be listed until her wali’s number is on file, and we check that the number belongs to him.
A man who is ready to call a woman’s father is usually serious, and families know it.
Your first call with her wali
- Introduce yourself fully: name, age, city and work, and that you found her profile on IslamicKnot.
- Say why you think you match what her profile asks for.
- Answer plainly when he asks about the five commitments. If you smoke, say so.
- Have the practical answers ready: income, where you’d live, any previous marriage or children, your health and your family.
- Offer a reference: your imam, or a respected brother who has known you for a while.
- Suggest a next step that involves both families, such as a call with your parents. Don’t ask for her number or photos; those are the family’s to share.
- If the answer is no, thank him and move on.
To prepare, read questions to ask before nikah and what her wali will ask you.
What IslamicKnot expects of you
IslamicKnot expects honesty in your declarations, patience with the family’s questions, and respect for their pace and their answer. Don’t try to reach her outside her family, and don’t press anyone for a quick decision.
A “no” to any of the first four commitments closes your account. If a family finds that you’ve broken one, expect the conversation to end there. If a family tells us you broke one, our team reviews it and can close your account.
Frequently asked questions
How do I find a Muslim woman for marriage online?
Go through her family. On IslamicKnot you browse reviewed profiles free, make five commitments and pay once to receive her wali’s number; a revert sister with no Muslim wali gets a supervised introduction instead. For the wider picture, read how to find a Muslim wife the halal way.
Can I message her directly?
No. IslamicKnot has no private messaging, likes or matching. On a profile listed with her wali you speak to him; on a revert sister’s profile you get a supervised introduction.
Is it a subscription?
No. IslamicKnot charges once per family contact: US$5 for one, US$12 for three or US$15 for five. Nothing renews, and you never pay twice for the same profile.
What if her family says no?
Thank them and move on; a clear answer saves everyone time. Purchases are non-refundable, except where the law requires a refund, so read her profile and check she isn’t “in talks” before you pay. If a profile becomes unavailable just before your request completes, nothing is revealed and the credit stays on your account.
Can I see her photo?
Public photos on IslamicKnot are softly blurred, and some sisters choose no photo; hijab and niqab photos are welcome. A clear photo is shared only by her family, privately, after contact.
I’m a revert with no Muslim family. Can I still contact a family?
Yes, the same way as anyone else. Expect her wali to ask who can vouch for you, so bring a reference: your imam, or a respected brother who has known you for a while.
How do I contact a revert sister?
Through a supervised introduction, which costs the same as a family contact. IslamicKnot’s team opens a conversation inside the site with a team member present in every message, and her number is never shared. See how supervised introductions work.
