Wali-first Muslim marriage site

Marriage begins with the family, not a swipe.

IslamicKnot is a Muslim marriage site built around the wali. Sisters join free and their number is never shown. Men browse reviewed profiles, make five commitments, and pay once to speak to her wali. No private chat, no swiping.

I’m a sister

Free profile, blurred photo, no private messages. Your wali takes the calls; you make the decision.

How it works

Three steps, the dignified way

01

Browse with dignity

Search reviewed profiles anonymously — no account needed. Faces are kept private; the person is described in full.

02

Request the family

When a profile feels right, you make five commitments and pay once to receive her wali’s number. Paying signals you are serious about marriage.

03

Speak to her wali

You continue the conversation with her father or brother, off-platform, the way it should be. No messaging the woman directly.

For sisters and their families

Every man who contacts your wali has made five commitments

Before a man can request a family’s contact, he declares five things, the first four sworn with “I bear Allah as my witness”:

  1. He keeps the five daily prayers.
  2. He will never ask you or your family for financial help, and won’t expect your family to pay for furnishing the home.
  3. He is able to start a family: a halal income and no illness that would prevent marriage.
  4. He doesn’t abuse any substance, and if he smokes, he says so openly.
  5. He has read your profile and requirements, and believes you are a genuine match.

A “no” to any of the first four closes his account. These are declarations, not background checks: they give your wali a clear standard to test in the first conversation, and a man who swears them falsely has told your family exactly who he is.

What makes it different

A Muslim marriage website built the other way round

No private chat, ever

There is no private messaging, no likes, no matching. A seeker who wants to go further pays to receive the wali’s number and speaks to the family, off the platform. A revert sister without a wali is introduced in a supervised conversation with our team present — never one-to-one.

Photos stay blurred until the family shares them

Public photos are softly blurred by design, hijab and niqab photos are welcome, and a clear photo is only ever shared privately by the family after contact — never scraped, never public.

Free for sisters, paid enquiries for seekers

A sister’s profile is free, with no premium tier. Men browse free. To reach a family, a man pays US$5 per family contact (US$3–4 each in packs). No subscription, nothing renews. That one small payment is what keeps enquiries to her wali serious.

See all prices →

For guardians

A father or brother creates and controls the profile, receives every enquiry on his own number, adds or removes photos, and can pause or mark it “in talks” at any time.

Your privacy, protected

Sensitive details, handled with care

Your details stay private

Profiles use a first name only. Full names, exact locations, and contact numbers are never shown publicly — only what you choose to share, when you choose to.

Photos are never exposed

Public photos are softly obscured by design. A clearer photo is only ever shared by the family, after contact is made — never scraped or surfaced without consent.

Contact is revealed once, to one person

A guardian’s number is disclosed only to a seeker who has paid to reach that specific family. It is never listed, sold, or shared beyond that introduction.

Information you can trust

Reviewed, accurate, always current

We check that the number belongs to her wali

When a sister adds her wali’s number, the IslamicKnot team checks that it really is her father’s or brother’s number. Enquiries reach her family, not a stranger.

Reviewed before it’s seen

Every profile is reviewed by our team before it appears, and guardians who verify their identity earn a Verified badge and are listed first — every profile is shown as Verified or Unverified, and you can filter for verified only. Reworded introductions are re-checked — fresh words get fresh eyes.

The contact stays current

When you pay to reach a family, you always receive their current number — not a frozen snapshot. If the family updates it later, your contacts show the new one, at no extra cost.

Honest, visible signals

See whether families have reached out recently and whether she’s “in talks”. Paused profiles don’t appear at all, and the same honest signals stay on your contacts list afterwards.

How we keep profiles trustworthy →

“O young men, whoever among you is able to marry, let him marry, for it is more effective in lowering the gaze and more protective of one's chastity.”
— Prophet Muhammad ﷺ · Sahih, narrated by 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud in Sahih al-Bukhari (Kitab an-Nikah, no. 5065–5066) and Sahih Muslim (no. 1400).
For revert sisters

No wali? You are not alone.

A sister who has embraced Islam often has no Muslim relative to act as her wali. On IslamicKnot she creates her own free profile, her number is never shared, and every introduction is a conversation our team supervises. We are a chaperone, not your wali; for the nikah itself, an imam or Islamic centre can act as your wali.

Are you a guardian?

Create and manage a profile for your daughter or sister. You stay in control — you see who is interested, and you decide who to speak with. Her photos and your number are never public.

Are you a sister with a wali? You can register yourself — seekers still contact your wali. How it works for sisters.

As her guardian, you

  • Decide who reaches the family — your number is shown only to a paid, serious enquiry
  • See interest at a glance, with seekers anonymised to country and date
  • Approve every photo; her face is never shown publicly
  • Pause or mark a profile “in talks” at any time

Questions people ask

Frequently asked questions

Is IslamicKnot a Muslim marriage app without chat?

It is a Muslim marriage website rather than an app — nothing to download, and it works in any phone browser — and there is no private chat, no likes and no swiping. Men browse reviewed profiles anonymously, and on a sister’s profile listed with her wali, the only contact a seeker can unlock is the wali — her father or brother — so the first conversation happens between families, off the platform. A revert sister without a wali is introduced in a supervised conversation inside IslamicKnot, with a member of its team present in every message.

Is this a halal nikah website?

IslamicKnot is built around the conditions scholars set for a halal search: marriage as the stated purpose, the wali involved from the first contact, and no private, unsupervised conversation between a man and a woman. IslamicKnot does not conduct the nikah itself — that stays with your imam and your families.

Is IslamicKnot free for women?

Yes. Sisters and guardians never pay: creating a profile, keeping it and receiving enquiries are all free, with no premium tier. Only men pay, and only when they ask to contact a family.

Who can be a wali?

Her father first, then the nearest Muslim man on her father’s side — a brother, grandfather, uncle or nephew. A revert sister with no Muslim relative can have the imam or director of her Islamic centre act as wali; IslamicKnot’s team chaperones her introductions until that is arranged.

Can revert (new Muslim) sisters use IslamicKnot?

Yes. A revert sister who has no wali can create her own profile, and every introduction is chaperoned by IslamicKnot’s team — she is never speaking with a man alone, and her own number is never shared.

Are the profiles real and up to date?

Yes. Every profile is reviewed by a person before it appears, guardians can verify their identity for a Verified badge (verified profiles are listed first), and reworded introductions are re-reviewed. The contact you unlock is always the family’s current number — never a stale snapshot.

Is IslamicKnot paid?

Only for men who want to contact a family. Browsing is free for everyone, and sisters and guardians never pay. A man pays US$5 for one family contact, US$12 for three or US$15 for five, once per profile, with no subscription and nothing that renews.

Which Muslim marriage site is safest for women?

The safest set-up is one where no man can message you privately and every enquiry goes through your wali. That is how IslamicKnot is built: no private chat, a blurred public photo, and your wali’s number shown only to a man who has paid and made five commitments. The safest Muslim marriage apps for women compares Muzz, Salams, Pure Matrimony and others from a woman’s side.

Is IslamicKnot legit?

Yes. IslamicKnot is run by MinglyLink LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (no. 16484762), and a person reviews every profile before it appears. Who runs it and how it is funded are on About, and the full answer is in Is IslamicKnot legit?

Do I need a photo or a selfie?

No photo is required, hijab and niqab photos are welcome, and you will not be asked to remove your hijab or niqab for a photo. Public photos are softly blurred, and a clear photo is only shared privately by your family after contact. Guardians who want the Verified badge confirm their identity with an official ID document; that is optional.

What happens to my data?

Your surname, phone number, email and exact address never appear on your profile. Your wali’s number is revealed only to a man who has paid to contact your family, and IslamicKnot runs no ads and sells no data. Details are in the privacy policy.

Do I need to download an app?

No. IslamicKnot is a website that works in any phone browser, so there is nothing to install and nothing for anyone to find on your home screen. More on the halal alternative to Muslim dating apps.
