For sisters · free, no chat, wali-first

Find a husband the halal way — your wali handles the contact.

اعثري على زوج بالطريقة الحلال — وليّ أمركِ يتولّى التواصل.

IslamicKnot is a Muslim marriage site for women that has no chat, blurs photos, and routes every enquiry through your wali; accounts are free for sisters. Men browse anonymously, pay to request contact, and receive your wali’s number — never yours. Reverts without a wali are chaperoned by our team.

What he sees — and what he never sees

ما يراه — وما لن يراه أبدًا

A seeker sees a first name, your age, your city and country, and the details you and your family choose to write about your faith, background and what you are looking for. Your public photo is softly blurred by design — he sees a shape, not a face. He never sees your surname, your phone number, your email or your address. There is no messaging on IslamicKnot, so he cannot write to you, like you, or “match” with you. If he wants to take things further, the only door is your wali. Clear photos are never uploaded for the public: if your family decides to share one, they share it themselves, after the first conversation, with the one family they have chosen to speak to.

He sees

  • Your first name and age
  • Your city and country
  • Your faith, background and situation, in your words
  • A softly blurred public photo — or none

He never sees

  • Your surname
  • Your phone number and email
  • Your exact address
  • A clear photo of your face
  • Any way to message you

Your wali holds the keys

وليّ أمركِ يملك المفاتيح

Only your wali receives enquiries. When a seeker wants to speak to your family, he pays a small fee and receives your wali’s phone number — nothing else. That fee is the filter: idle browsers, married men looking for a second conversation, and time-wasters rarely pay to speak to a father or brother who will ask them direct questions. Every account is also reviewed by a person before it is listed, and guardians can verify their identity for a Verified badge. Your wali can pause the profile, mark it “in talks”, or remove it entirely at any time. You decide together who you speak to and when. Nothing moves without him knowing — because nothing can. Read what a guardian account gives him.

Free for sisters

مجاني للأخوات

Creating a profile is free, and it stays free. There are no premium tiers, no “boosts”, and no charge to be seen. Seekers pay per contact — a few dollars to receive one family’s number — and that is the only money on the platform. We built it this way on purpose: a sister should never have to pay to be protected, and the small cost on his side is what keeps the enquiries that reach your wali serious. Your guardian can register for you, or you can create the profile yourself and add his number; either way, seekers only ever reach him. See how it works from both sides.

Hijab and niqab are welcome

الحجاب والنقاب مرحَّب بهما

You will not be asked to remove your hijab or niqab for a photo, and covered photos are never rejected — a real complaint sisters raise about some apps, where niqab photos are flagged or a profile is hidden until a face is shown. On IslamicKnot the public photo is blurred anyway, so a niqab photo, a hijab photo, or no personal photo at all all work. Many families prefer a family-shared photo only: the profile carries the written description, and a clear photo is shared privately by your family with the one household they have chosen to speak to. The choice is yours and your family’s — not a policy we impose. We compared photo and niqab policies across the apps in the safest Muslim marriage apps for women.

No wali? Reverts, and sisters whose family isn’t Muslim

لا وليّ لكِ؟ المهتديات، ومن أسرتها غير مسلمة

If you have embraced Islam and have no Muslim male relative, or your father is not Muslim, you can still register — as a revert sister. Your own number stays with our team and is never shown to anyone. A seeker who wants to be introduced pays the same fee and reaches our chaperone, not you. We then arrange a small group conversation — you, the seeker and a member of our team — so you are never speaking with a man alone. We are a chaperone, not a wali: finding your wali is a question for your imam, and our guide walks you through arranging one.

Divorced, widowed, a mother, or over 30

مطلّقة، أو أرملة، أو أمّ، أو فوق الثلاثين

You are welcome here exactly as you are. Being divorced, widowed, a mother, or past thirty is not a footnote on IslamicKnot — the profile states your situation plainly, so the men who reach your wali are the ones who read it and chose to continue. A woman who has raised children or rebuilt her life after a loss is not a “second choice” to a serious man, and the wali-first structure means you never have to defend your story to a stranger in a chat window. Your family fields the first conversation, and you decide who is worth your time. We wrote a longer piece for exactly this stage: Muslim marriage after divorce, widowhood or 30.

How it works from your side

كيف تسير الأمور من جهتكِ

1

Create your profile — or ask your wali to

أنشئي ملفّكِ — أو اطلبي من وليّكِ أن يفعل

Register free, describe yourself honestly, and add your wali’s number. A person on our team reviews the profile before it is listed.

2

Men browse — anonymously, and blurred

يتصفّح الرجال — دون هوية، والصورة مموّهة

Seekers search by faith, background and family situation. They see a first name and a blurred photo. They cannot message you, like you, or match with you.

3

A serious enquiry reaches your wali

الطلب الجادّ يصل إلى وليّ أمركِ

When a seeker pays to request contact, he receives your wali’s number — never yours. Your wali speaks to him first and asks the questions you cannot comfortably ask.

4

Your families take it from there

وتُكمل العائلتان الطريق

If it feels right, the families meet the way they always have — off the platform, with you in the room and in charge of the decision.

Questions sisters ask us

أسئلة تطرحها الأخوات

Is IslamicKnot safe for women?

Yes, by structure rather than by settings. There is no chat, so no man can message you; your public photo is blurred; your surname, number and address are never shown; and the only contact a seeker can unlock is your wali’s number, after paying and after our team has reviewed his account. Revert sisters with no wali are chaperoned by our team in every introduction.

Can men message me?

No. IslamicKnot has no messaging, likes or matching of any kind. A seeker who wants to go further pays to receive your wali’s phone number and speaks to him, off the platform. You are never contacted directly.

Do I have to show my face?

No. Your public photo is blurred by design, hijab and niqab photos are welcome, and you can also list with no personal photo at all. A clear photo is only ever shared privately by your family, after contact, with the one family they choose.

Can my father or brother manage my profile?

Yes. A guardian account lets your father or brother create, edit, pause or remove the profile, approve photos, and receive every enquiry. If you would rather manage it yourself, you can — seekers still only ever receive his number.

I'm a revert with no Muslim family — who is my wali?

Scholars direct the wali role to the Islamic authority when there is no Muslim relative — in practice, the imam or director of your local Islamic centre. On IslamicKnot our team chaperones your introductions so you are never speaking with a man alone; we are a chaperone, not your wali. Our revert guide explains how to arrange an imam-wali before the introductions begin.

Is it free for women?

Yes. Creating and keeping a profile is free for sisters, with no premium tier and no charge to be seen. Seekers pay a small fee per family contact, which is what keeps the enquiries reaching your wali serious.

How is this different from Muzz or Salams for a sister?

Muzz and Salams are chat-first apps: men can message you once you match, and family involvement is optional (Muzz offers a chaperone feature; Salams documents none). On IslamicKnot there is no chat at all, your photo is blurred, and the only contact a man can unlock is your wali’s — the family is involved by design, not by setting.

Is it haram to look for a husband online?

Seeking a spouse is encouraged in Islam, and scholars judge the method, not the medium. What matters is that the search is for marriage, that your wali is involved from the start, and that there is no private, unsupervised conversation. A wali-first platform is built around exactly those conditions; if you are unsure about your own situation, ask a scholar you trust.

Ready when you are — and your family is

Free, reviewed before listing, no chat. Your wali gets the calls; you get the decision.
