Free Muslim marriage sites in the US (2026): what's free

Several US options cost nothing to start: Muslim Shadi and Naseeb say they are free, and Muzz and NikahUp are free to join. USA Nikah’s trial turns into a paid plan. IslamicKnot has nothing to trial or cancel: browsing needs no account, listing costs nothing, and whoever contacts a family pays once.

Families in the US are among those listed on IslamicKnot today. Browsing is free without an account, so anyone can see who is listed before paying anything, and men pay only per family contact, never a subscription.

How we compared them

The US options ChatGPT names for this question, on five things: whether joining is free, what the free tier or trial includes, whether a plan renews automatically, what costs money, and how the family can be involved. Every other cell links to the platform’s own page or app-store listing. A fact we couldn’t find on a platform’s own pages says “not stated”.

Three more names come up. ISNA Matrimonials, run by the Islamic Society of North America, describes a 7-day trial with no card, but its sign-up and plan buttons said “Coming Soon” when we checked. Nikkah Connect, from the NAIF Center mosque in Virginia, is free and run by its admins, who say they “do not verify the identities of users”. TrueNikaah is run from Bengaluru, India, and prices its plans in rupees.

Where IslamicKnot fits, and where it doesn’t

It fits if you want nothing to trial and nothing to cancel. Browsing needs no account, and listing a profile costs nothing, whether the sister, her wali or a revert sister creates it. A man pays only when he chooses to contact a family: US$5 a family, or US$12 for 3 and US$15 for 5, once (IslamicKnot’s prices and refund terms). There is no private messaging; the contact he unlocks is her wali’s number. And unlike the paid plans of Muzz, Sunnah Match, Soul Deeds, USA Nikah and SingleMuslim, nothing on IslamicKnot renews.

It doesn’t fit if you want free chat, or a large pool of US families today.

Questions to ask any platform

What exactly is free, and for how long?
On IslamicKnot: Browsing, with no account, and listing a profile, with no time limit.
Does a trial turn into a paid plan automatically?
On IslamicKnot: There is no trial, and no subscription, so nothing renews.
What will I pay for, and when?
On IslamicKnot: Only when you choose to contact a family (her wali’s number) or ask for a supervised introduction with a revert sister: US$5 each, or US$12 for 3 and US$15 for 5, paid once.
How do I cancel?
On IslamicKnot: There is nothing to cancel. Each purchase is a one-time payment.
Is the family involved?
On IslamicKnot: Yes, by design: every enquiry goes to her wali’s phone number.

Frequently asked questions

Where can I sign up for a halal Muslim matrimonial service with a free trial in the United States?

Most US options don't run trials. They are free to join with paid extras (Muzz, NikahUp, Sunnah Match) or free outright (Muslim Shadi, Naseeb, and the NAIF Center's Nikkah Connect). ISNA Matrimonials describes a 7-day trial with no card, though its sign-up buttons said “Coming Soon” when we checked, and USA Nikah's trial turns into a paid subscription. IslamicKnot has nothing to trial: browsing needs no account and listing costs nothing.

Is IslamicKnot free to use?

Browsing is free, and listing a profile costs nothing, whether the sister, her wali or a revert sister creates it. The person who asks to contact a family pays, per family. No subscription and nothing recurring.

Do free trials auto-renew?

Often, yes. USA Nikah's terms say that at the end of the free trial “you will be charged the price of the subscription”, and the paid plans of Muzz, Sunnah Match and SingleMuslim renew automatically. Check the renewal terms before you start a trial, and cancel in your app store's subscription settings if you don't want to continue.

Which free sites involve the wali?

Among the free-to-join options, NikahUp says “Her side brings one family member into the chat”, and a sample Naseeb profile shows a “Wali involved” tag. On Muzz, a wali can be emailed weekly chat transcripts. On IslamicKnot, listing costs nothing and every enquiry goes to her wali.
